FOCO

The Client

FOCO, founded in 1998, is a leading manufacturer of sports and entertainment merchandise. With a wide range of products, including apparel, accessories, toys, and collectibles, FOCO prides itself on innovation and creativity. As a company with major sports and entertainment licenses, FOCO continues to grow by introducing exciting new designs and manufacturing techniques to meet the evolving demands of fans worldwide. Their mission is to help passionate fans express their love for their favorite teams, shows, and movies.

The Ask

FOCO tasked me with leading the charge in defining and maintaining UX standards for their newly launched website. My role involved ensuring a seamless and engaging user experience across the site while maintaining the brand’s energetic and fan-centric identity. FOCO needed a digital platform that allowed fans to explore and purchase merchandise with ease, especially with the expectation that many users would be shopping via mobile devices after attending sporting events.

The Solution

I created a variety of assets for FOCO, including product display page (PDP) images, website banner graphics, landing pages, email banners, and digital ads. In addition to my design responsibilities, I played a key role in conducting UX research and performing UI design for crucial sections of the website, including the product display pages, category pages, and homepage. The design approach followed a mobile-first strategy, ensuring that fans could easily browse and purchase merchandise on the go.

I also led the marketing creative direction for the Stranger Things x FOCO line of MLB collectible bobbleheads, incorporating the show’s iconic elements while staying true to FOCO’s brand. By combining innovative design with a focus on user experience, I contributed to creating a website that not only met FOCO’s business needs but also resonated deeply with their fanbase.
